First Brazilian International Symposium on Integrative Neuroendocrinology

Santa Clara Eco Resort - Dourado, Brazil
August 20th - 23th, 2011
Dear colleagues
We are truly pleased to invite you to participate in the First Brazilian International Symposium on Integrative Neuroendocrinology, which will be held on 20-23 August, 2011. The venue will be the Santa Clara Eco Resort, a rustic hotel located in the city of Dourado, within the central region of the Sao Paulo State.  Before opening its doors as a hotel oriented to ecoturism,  Santa Clara was a coffee farm and later a horse farm. Today, Santa Clara boasts modern accommodations in a charming setting, nature beauty, ample meeting space, and a full range of recreations activities. The city of Dourado is easily reached from anywhere in Sao Paulo State across good roads and is located 135 km from Ribeirao Preto and 200 km from Campinas. This Symposium is a satellite event that will take place immediately after the III International Neuroendocrine Federation Summer School-Brazil (Ribeirao Preto) and just before the Annual Meeting of Brazilian Federation of Experimental Biology Societies (FeSBE, Rio de Janeiro). The Program Organizing Committee has invited prominent speakers from across the world who will give 20 plenary lectures organized into five broad topics comprising recent advances in Neuroendocrinology and related disciplines. Additionally  there will be a poster session, a conference on Neuroendocrinology development in Brazil as well as cultural activities. This event will also serve to pay tribute to Dr. José Antunes Rodrigues, a pioneering brazilian neuroendocrinologist, who in addition to making seminal scientific contributions has also trained many of the neuroendocrinology faculty at several Brazilian Universities. The format of this event, and the relaxed atmosphere of the Santa Clara Eco Resort will allow for ample contact among the participants.

We look forward to seeing you at the symposium.
Sincerely,

Organizing Committee
